Today, every other student is aspiring for big and many want to make their career in medicine. The immense potential of this sector has triggered the demand for skilled professionals in this field, and the all-India entrance exam NEET has come to be named together with JEE, the premier engineering entrance exam in India.

Every year, innumerable candidates clearing the class 12 board exams apply for the medical entrance exam in the country. The students preparing for medical examinations are often seen as stressed and worried about their results.

There’s a lot of pressure from family too. These things make them feel less confident, nervous and stressed out. It’s not an easy battle to pass the medical examination, a tremendous amount is riding on every single medical exam. Below are some tips that can help you study stress-free during this preparation time.

1. Know the syllabus

The first and foremost thing to do is get familiar with the syllabus. This will make you familiar with the exam pattern and will boost your confidence.

NEET includes class 11 and 12 NCERT Course. So, it's better to include NCERT in your preparation and all the reference material.

2. Be the best in time management

In your daily schedule, keep most of your time for studying as stress-free as possible, it’s important to create the study time table.

Planning your study time for a weekly basis in advance is a good strategy, this will take you on the alert mode that what you have to do at what time and how much time you’ve left with to cover the whole syllabus.

Creating a timetable is important for managing most of your time and keeping a record of it. While making a schedule, also remember to give yourself breaks in between for relaxing your mind by doing some other activities.

3. Get rid of distractions

The major distractions in a student's life are their cell phones. We all know that cell phones are very important for everyone as we get all the information with help of it but they are also a great distraction for us.

Social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram are not only distractions for a student but it’s shown that they can also feel stress or depression or experience FOMO. If you're finding it hard to get rid of your cell phones then you can delete your social media apps.

4. Solve previous question papers

Solving the previous year’s question paper can be very helpful as it hardly changes every year. Collect the question papers from the past three to four years and try to solve them in a given time. Give it your best shot and try to solve your paper during the time given.

Solving these papers will give you an idea of your final day paper and you’ll understand the strategy and pattern to solve the paper. You’ll also get the idea of the length of the paper that will come in the final examination, by this the fear of the exam will be less for you.

5. Don't be anxious

A day before the exam is just like a nightmare. You fear most about your exam on that particular day and this can affect adversely your exam. This fear shook the confidence level that you’ve gained by preparing so hard.

Being stressed before the exam can even make you awake the whole night, so make sure that you revise your whole syllabus before that night. Just don’t think much and trust your ability.

6. Get yourself a perfect diet

Preparing for exams can be very stressful so during this time what food should we eat is a question? It’s seen that intake of coffee and tea during exams is common but this can be harmful to a student as caffeine can heighten the stress level in a person's body.

Instead, you should eat more healthy food, like nuts, pistachios, dark chocolates, pumpkin. These snacks are mood-boosting and tasty as well. Drinking green tea can also reduce stress and increase metabolism. Just remember don’t eat much but eat in moderation.
